Ok I mentioned this on another thread..but I had to wait to make sure it was ok for me to give their address out. This family is in need of anything you can donate.I was unaware that things that are donated to the shelters, red cross..etc are only given to those whom are in these shelters. As we all know there are many that are living with relatives,friends..etc and these people also need donations.
This family now has a total of 27 people living in their home and not able to receive help because they now live with relatives. The girls are aging from 2-teenage yrs & boys from 18 months-teenage years.I don't know the sizes for the adults my friend forgot to e-mail me that part.Anyways my friend said to go to the Red Cross,UPS,Fedx or USPC and they can donate and ship them out to them. Please pm me I have their address so it will go directly to where they are living now.I was told these people have no home to go back to.
Also by all means give to the red cross etc..because I know we all don't know a lot of those people to help personally. Also my friend said she will get more families addresses that are living in her church...Thanks again

Gosh, I am angered to think how misinformed most of the USA is. I am working in Lowry where we have about 400 evacuees and we have 500 more coming on Wednesday. There is a misconception that people who are in shelters are getting help, WROONGGG, SO WRONGGGGG. Women didn't get a bra until 5 days being in the shelter, kids don't have a second pair of shorts, they didn't get sandals, for the last 4 days they had to wear the same shoes they came with from Louisianna and they still carry their things in garbage bags. I had a couple who are 9 months pregnant with 2 small girls, they left the shelter on Sunday morning and drove the 19 hours all the way back to La. The Red Cross and other charities warehouse are so overflown with donations, so they have no people to sort the things out that are mounted to the roof, but there you have the people at the shelter with just one or two change of clothing. I have taken this as a personal moto and I am putting together baby clothing and items for the 5 pregnant women at Lowry, one of them a 16 year old. God knows how many more Mom will arrive on Wednesday. Please don't think that people on shelter have the upper hand, they are in isolated conditions in small rooms with military beds, with strangers everywhere, people who are living out of the shelters, with friends and families are better off. Tell your friends that if they are in a city where there is a shelter they will get items as they keep coming to the shelter and going to the places where they are provisions for them. They should receive also some tickets for ARC and Goodwill. I am angered that the Red Cross has over 504 millions of dollars in donations and still some people don't have even $20 in their pockets here.
