I apologize.......

I just got back from a four day camping trip and started reading all the post in regard to the "Katrina Catastrophe." I would just like to say if I have offended anyone in anyway as to the post I contributed to on some of the threads in regarding this issue I apologize. I am not on this forum to belittle or hurt anyone. There is enough of that going on in our world today.

Our government officials and those who lead our country need our prayers every single day. We have to remember that they to are human and will make many mistakes. There is a song that I recall that has lyrics such as "if you are going to talk about me, talk about me on your knees." God bless our nation and what we are facing in these critical days ahead. Thank you music woman. I think we needed your kind words and sweet smile. So many have been hurt on this board by comments made and it really saddens me. This is a tough topic because they are so many different views. I am afraid that is all I will say because enough has been said and too many have been hurt here. :heart: Amanda

We all need to find a reason or even place blame during a catastrophe ... and we all have the right to our opinions. But it should be understoood (and it should be reinforced) that expressing your opinions in a way that offends others outright is unacceptable.

I apologize as well. Even though I tried to be careful in the manner in which I expressed myself, if doing so upset people further then I wasn't careful enough -- especially at a time when we all should be concentrating on being part of the solution. My faith in our country is strong, but it's so much more important to be compassionate to everyone who is suffering.

Jipi,Amanda, Kathy, Dee and Dawn thank you for all your sweet comments. I come from the old school were treating others with respect will in turn give you respect back. I have learned if we look hard enough we can find something positive about every situation that arises.
