I also take phen but what I wanted to ask you about is your fibromyalgia. Coincidentally, I also live in Alabama, near Birmingham.

Anyway, my mom has fibromyalgia and I wonder what else ever worked for you. She is on a pain patch now that seems to help. But she is experiencing major swelling in her ankles and feet. Has this ever happened to you? If so, what was it? It has recently started so she is at a loss on what it is. Any info you have would be helpful.

What area do you live in and does your doctor specialize in Fibro? Sorry so many questions just trying to help mom.

Thanks

angie

Sorry this has taken so long to answer!

I live in Birmingham. The Dr. I use is a GREAT Rheumatologist at Montclair named Dr. Maura Kennedy. I know there is a specialist at Brookwood named McClain (I think).

From my experience when I had swelling it was either from some of the medicines, or I wasn't drinking enough water or not exercising enough. The exercise is very important and when I couldn't walk I would walk in the pool at Montclair.

There are two great Fibro websites that I use. One is www.fibromyalgiasupport.com, (http://www.fibromyalgiasupport.com,) and the other is www.endfatigue.com. (http://www.endfatigue.com.) A lot of people who have Fibro also have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the second one addresses both.

Let me know if I can help you.

Jules

Concerning the hair loss-- I am on the phentermine right now and I do feel like my hair is thinner. I have naturally very very thin hair anyhow. I went into GNC store and asked about a supplement I used to take called Ultra Hair. This has been recommended by my dermatologist a few years ago. The lady pointed me to a product called Great Hair by Vitol. She said that it is their biggest seller for hair needs and that people come in over and over and buy it when they run out, must be good. Has anyone on here tried Great Hair? Would love to know your comments. Thank you.
