I wonder if you might have low thyroid? Sometimes fibro and that go together, and I strongly suspect phentermine raises one of the thyroid hormones. Best bet for such questions would be the forum at www.thyroid.about.com (http://www.thyroid.about.com) .... congratulations, anyway!
The other thing I wonder about is whether maybe phen acts as an anti-allergy thing?

Thanks c.b. I have an appointment with my rheumatologist and a thyroid specialist on Tuesday!
I have not had to take my Zyrtec at all this spring, so I would say "yes" I think it has helped with my allergies. I hadn't thought about that being a help with the pain, but I had read that the Phen would dry up your sinuses and not to take additional antihistimines. (I haven't felt the need)
I had been checked for "Wilson's Syndrome" (www.wilsonsthyroidsyndrome.com) last year at this time, but while taking the T3 had gone into a major pain phase (loss of use of hand and fingers) that required several epidural blocks(my first experience with THAT).
So I am going back to see if I might need to start that therapy again. Thanks for the thyroid website.
I am still very happy with my weight loss, but it is a secondary thing now that I don't have pain and don't have to take all my meds.

I found out that there are actually Dr's prescribing Phen and other stimulants for Chronic Fatigue/Fibromyalgia.
So, I guess this isn't a fluke.
It is wonderful!
