I have only been taking phentermine for three days (started April 1st). So far, so good. However, I had read that you shouldn't take phentermine when you have high blood pressure but didn't really know what my BP was so I went ahead and ordered some of it off the internet and just figured I'd check it myself at the sit-down BP stations they have next to the pharmacy in grocery stores. For what it's worth, I am a 21 year old male, 5'7", 190 lbs. So anyway, I got my BP checked about thirty minutes ago on one of those machines and it was 156 systolic / 76 dystolic. Obviously this isn't good so I am now very concerned about taking this medicine. How serious are the consequences of taking phent. with a high BP? Has anyone heard any horror stories? Am I going to keel-over dead tommorrow? I know many of you will simply tell me to stop taking it right now and go to the doctor- but that isn't really an option for me at this time. (for reasons I won't go into here) Thanks for your help.
