My fiance and I are both taking Phentermine (Fastin) 30 mg 1x daily. We started Phen on 3/12/02. We are doing well, some sleeplessness that seems to be subsiding, I have a few headaches that go away as soon as I increase my water intake...so nothing out of the ordinary...except for... okay..this is odd folks....
Has anyone else noticed that when you pee there doesn't seem to be as much pressure behind it??? My fiance noticed it first, then when I paid attention it was the same for me. So...I am wondering if this is a "normal" reaction while your body gets used to the Phen. Any other non-pressurized pee-er's out there?

I have noticed the same thing about me. I started 3-14-02 and I also don't go very often. I just need to drink more WATER. I am sure you will be ok though if you drink more fluids.

For me that is usually my first sign that a bladder infection is nearing unless I start drinking more water! Actually, it is my ONLY sign. I guess I am weird! I have had problems with bladder infections for years.... with my first one, I had no pain, no burning, I just went to the bathroom at 3:00 am only to look down and see a toilet bowl full of BLOOD! It was very scary!

RedRkr0728, if i understood your question correctly -- the problem is not how MUCH you pee, but that there is almost NO PRESSURE -- like when the faucet loses water pressure? If that was what you were talking about, I noticed that too -- right away. that's wierd. Does anyone know why this is?

I have maybe had one bladder infection in my entire life (I am almost 39) but I feel like I may be getting one now. I thought maybe it was because I was drinking so much and peeing so much but even before phen I drank a lot...both water and diet soda. Maybe they should add this to the side effects. I did just read a great idea yesterday....Mix some cranberry juice with water to drink during the day. I may need to try that...I sure don't want another bladder infection! I have been on phen since 4/23/02
SW - 215 (211 when I started phen)
CW - 204.5
GW - 140

i know -- i have always HATED water! Here's what I do (I know this has nothing to do with pee pressure, but...) I get, like say -- Crystal light lemonade, and fill a glass with ice -- then I mix half water and half lemonade. i still have to force it down my throat, but at least it makes it into my body that way.

You probably shouldn't drink Crystal Light with a bladder or UTI. Nutrasweet will aggravate the condition. Caffeine too. Drinking a lot of diet soft drinks while dieting can be causing your problems. Go to a almost any pharmacy - Walgreens, etc. or health food store and by cranberry capsules. They're very effective and easy to keep in your house instead of cranberry juice (don't get the diet version on that either). Start take the cranberry as soon you feel some discomfort urinating. couple capsules a few times a day. Try 100% unsweetened, cranberry juice, not the ****tail. It's very tart, but you can almost feel it working. If there's blood you really should see a doctor.

Regarding the "non-presssurized pee-ers" I have the same problem! But i can tell you this... it happens to me whenever i am drinking a ton of water. It seems that for me, the more water i drink, and the longer i have to hold it, the less pressure there is. I think it has to do with the bladder muscles working to hold it in and then they cant contract to push it out. (of course, this is just my opinion). This happened to me before I started taking Phen sometimes too, but more now that i am drinkg like a gallon or more of water a day (due to the dry mouth) instead of my 1/2 gallon a day before Phen. I hope this is helpful to you!! I havent been able to figure out how to get the pressure back except for going as soon as i need to, but lets be realistic if i did that i'd be in the bathroom every 30 minutes!!
Good luck!!
