Greetings. I have been on Phen for a week now, and like many of you am suffering from sleep deprivation. I try to go to bed at a decent hour, but am not tired. Fall asleep around 2. Then, I am wide awake at 6. I take the phen at 8, and then immeadiately am back to sleep. I didn't get out of bed until 1:00 today! (by the way, I am unemployed and looking for a job). It's been like this all week. I am excercizing, getting my water in, and eating 3 full meals a day. I take klonopin to sleep at night, but even though I am wired during the day, I feel like lying down. Does this make sense to anyone? Can you give me some advice or share your experience?

Trazadone is fabulous. Was on it when I was on prozac, so that I could sleep. I slept really well. The only side effect was the horrible nightmares. Take it slowly your first time. I've thought about going back on it...

Hello my name is Istra, I am new also at taking Phen. I can relate to your experience of being awake at night. It also happenned to me. Do not take the pill late at night it can keep you awake all night. Its best to take it early in the morning and then eat a lite breakfast. If you begin to feel agitated take a walk and don't forget to drink liquids.
I remain,
Jerseyfriend.

Hey This is to lonlady1.thank You for Your response. I have a Question What dose did you start with? Did you take to help you with carb cravings and sleep, or just for depression? The reason I ask is the bariatric Dr. i spoke to suugest i take it to keep me less irratible. did that help you from being ill or moody? Phentermine makes me energized but by the evening comes Iam ill and been fussing alot w/daughter and husband. Do any of these taper off with trazadone??? Thanks for all your help .. Ill be waiting for your response. :

Virginia - I cannot remember what dosage I was taking - it was 4 years ago. I was taking it because I was on Prozac for depression, and it helped me to sleep at night without interuption. I was on it for a year. I'd recommend it to anyone whose doctor might prescribe it. I know it helped with the anxiety during the next day. Because it is an anti-depressant itself, it really helped me. I've tried ambien as well, but felt too addicted to it. Trazadone is not addictive either. Good luck, and let us know what you decide to do and how it works. I'm going to my doctor next week to see what he can give me. Trazadone may not be available in London, so we'll see!

To Virginia:

I hope you get this. Please take a half a tab your first night. I remember feeling half dead the first time I took a full one. I was on 50 MG's (called old doctor). Just a suggestion. But I remember feeling terrible the first AM, and then golden after that.

When I took Phen-Fen several years ago I was bug-eyed until after 4am it was awful. I was told to take melatonin and it worked like a charm, you can find it at any health food store, drug store and most supermarkets as far as I know it is a natural product so it can't hurt you. :D :D

Hi Kodiak,it nice to read that some one else knows about the Natural stores. When I was reading that the girls were taking Prozac&trazadcone,I was thinking to myself, why are they putting so many cemecals in their bodies. Most of the over the counter stuff is so bad for you,and with alot of side efferts. And a lot of people don't know about how well the natural drugs will work for you without bad side effects!

This is so wierd. I have always had a hard time sleeping, and now that I am on Phentermine I sleep like a baby every night. Am I a complete freak?
