lately it seems as if I feel dizzy, fatigued and can eat a lot. I am wondering if its not time to go up from the 30 mg. I tried one another time when I first started a year ago and it made me feel sick (nervous, couldn't sleep, too *****y). The only other drug I am taking is spirolactone which is kind of like a diuretic that inhibits androgen production to treat my acne. I am going to talk to my dermatologist about it monday to see if that is whats causing all the fatigue. But that shouldn't counteract the appetite suppresant effect I wouldn't think. If anyone can help me figure this out I would sure appreciate it. I am having a time trying to keep up trying to lose wieght. thanks lisabeth

hi lisabeth, my dr. started me out on the 30mg of phen i've not felt hungry at all. i am taking amitriptyline for headaches, and to help me sleep. i had trouble sleeping before a started the phen. my pharmacist told me not to take them together because the ami would counteract with the phen, and it wouldnt work near as well.
are you taking them at the same time? if so that could be that prob. also one quick question. i have never heard of the meds your on. is working for your skin? i have had problems with that since middle school. its alot better now, but a still have some problems with it
oh! one more thing. i too live in oklahoma, down south in mounds. i was wondering if i would meet anyone from here. anyway good luck, i hope all goes well for you :)

cool..., we're closer than you might have thaught, I live in south tulsa on the edge of Bixby. I work in Bixby, its nice to know that there's some other okies on the forum. As for the spirolactone, the brand name is aldactone, it's normally prescribed for people with hypertension, and congenital heart problems, BUT since it inhibits androgens derms can prescribe for acne. I always knew that I must have had some kind of hormonal acne, being that I am 31 and have problems. LUCKILY though its working! I went to the derm today and she really looked almost shocked at how well it has worked on my skin in only 6 weeks. She initially wanted to put me on accutane..I said NO WAY ( IHEARD TOO MANY HORROR STORIES ABOUT IT) so I suggested the aldactone after researching on the net about hormonal acne and she concurred. Hormonal acne is usually treated with Orthotrycyclene-little or no androgens- but I was scared of weight gain and declined, but I may reconsider she said another "pill" supposed to not cause weight gain starts with an A is all I remember. Anyway, appreciate the answer back, talk at ya later lisabeth
