I have been on Phen since January 7 and I have done really well (lost 10 pds.) Within the past couple of days I have been feeling really dizzy and light headed. I woke up this morning and the room was spinning!!! I don't know if this is Phen or my sinus problems. I was going to take some claritin today but was not sure if it would really mess with me since I am on the Phen. Does anyone have any information about taking Claritin with Phen?????? djuana_malota@fleetwoodretail.com

I had the same problem for the whole 2 weeks I was on Adipex & thought the same & I took the same meds as you because I have alot of sinus problems but it didnt work I would say its your phen but I'm not a doctor I told my doctor about this at my weigh in & he switched me to Fastin 30mg.Good Luck with this I'm so glad I have switched meds you can only deal this kind of problem for so long. :)

Hi
I am new to the site and went straight to the side effects section as I too am feeling light headed and dizzy (been on it for almost 2 weeks) - mainly when I stand up... I brushed it off as a head rush as I've had those before... I called my Dr after reading what you wrote and he said that dizzy and light head is not a side effect and to stop taking it for a week and see how I feel and then start it up again and if the dizzy and light head come back then to call him and let him know... I don't know if it's what I've been eating either - of course my appetite is way down and maybe I haven't been eating the best foods and a friend asked me if I was hypoglycemic (SP?) - I didn't think so? so needless to say I skipped only one day and went back on it - I still feel slightly dizzy but not as bad as that one day! Not sure what it is/was?
Let me know how you are doing?
Thanks for the input!

HMMMMM,When I told my doctor how I was feeling,I had same as you he said it was a side effect also when I read the papers that came with my Adipex from the Drug Store in the side effects area it listed many & dizzyness & lightheaded was posted.I stoped taking the meds & my Doctor switched me to Fastin all the side effects I had & I had them all according to the papers from Drug Store went away & I feel great!

I think I will call him next week and ask about that one - I am not going to take Phen anymore :o( It's working too! Aside from the dizzyness anyway :o(
Thanks for your comments!

Let me know what he says. When I went off mine too the next 3-2 days I still felt the same way guess it was still in my system but after that I felt normal & went to the doctors for my weigh in & thats when he switched me.I too lost weight but could not handle feeling the way I did on them.I felt total felt like I was not myself & like I had NO control over my body.I didnt like it at all especially since I have 4 kids & 5 daycare kids too to tend to.Good Luck & keep me posted I'm curious now.

I think if he doesn't switch me to another drug then I will have to find a new Endo... I am in the military and of course have to meet weight standards and I have alot of other hormonal stuff wrong with me and the military Dr's (my primary and my nutritionist) weren't too happy when I told them what the civilian endo prescribed for me. He also said phen was supposed to boost my metabolism - but I have read nothing about that - only reduce appetite... which it has. Which 2 weeks out of 4 I eat alot anyway - (was told due to my period my system goes crazy) thyroid problems run in my family too(mom and grandmom) but my tests always come up normal - go figure...
either way - I am for sure not taking anymore phen - I'm so glad I found this site - thanks so much for your inputs!

Hi, I'm new here. Will be starting on Phen next week. I've done a lot of research, and I believe Fastin is still phen. Phentermine Hydrochloride (sp?)....A 30mg of Fastin is roughly the equivalent of 24mg of phentermine. Just FYI.... Perhaps the lower dosage makes the difference for you. I also have a thought for you... In every site and article I have have researched, Phen and like meds are prescribed only in the treatment of the severely obese.....and not recommended for those who need to lose 30lbs or less.....perhaps this is where the side effects come into play? Just wondering if anyone else has thought about this.

I am borderline obese (BMI was 29) and it's supposed to be 30? I'm not too impressed with this Endo the more I found out about him and the pills and my situation... You have a good point too - I maybe could lose 30 lbs and I would be satisfied with that, so maybe this phen idea is a bad one :o( It is so hard for me to lose weight - I get so frustrated as I'm sure you all do too... I teach spinning, yoga and step as well as working out at home for an average of 5x a week and I am racking my brain as to what is wrong with me... yeah I eat alot and maybe not at the best times but with the amount of exercise I do... you'd think I would balance out and I don't - I really suffer when I am on an "eating plan" aka diet :o( and it's just not worth it you know. Phen made me not think about food and that's what I needed - stupid dizzyness!
