itchy rash around eyes...LOOK LIKE RACOON!!!!!

Hi ya'll! I just started taking phentermine a week ago today and about three days after i started taking it...i got this sort of rash like thing around my eyes and they ith so bad and it's very swolen, the area below my eyes and my eyelids that is. My ears itch and my neck and my lips are sooo dry. It could just be the weather but it's never happened it the past so i don't know. I was just wondering if it could be some weird side affect of the phentermine. My doctor said it was unlikely but i odn't know what else it could be!!!

Sounds like me every winter! Seriously, it could just be dry indoor heat, but it sounds like an allergic reaction to something. I haven't heard of this as a reaction to phen, but I certainly am no expert. Think hard - are you sure you haven't used a different lotion, makeup item, perfume, or something like that? Those things would be more likely to cause the reaction you mentioned.

That's really strange. I've been experiencing a kind of tingling itchy sensation under my eyes and my eyes are watery. And my ears have been really itchy too. But I have bad allergies sometimes... so I was trying to ignore the fact that it started when I started the phen (purepac). To hear someone else mention similar symptoms makes me wonder.

Anyone else experience anything similar?

It's sad to say that I'm willing to put up with side effects I'm so desperate to lose weight. As long as it's not a life threatening side effect that is. *wink*

I havent heard of that, are you allergic to any animals, my last girlfriend was allergic to cats and her eyes would get real red and puffy and if she was around them too long a rash would break out around her eyes.

Thanks for the replies ya'll.. My mom called this pharmacy and turns out i was taking the generic version..or something..and they said that there's a yellow die in the generic and i'm allergic to penicillin and she said it was related to penicilin...or something like that..i don't really undersrtand it...but the yellow die isn't in the real thing.. Does that even make since? Cuz i dont' think it does. But i'm gonna start taking the real thing tomorrow. Unfortunately when i got off the medicine i binged and now i feel like i blew my diet and i'm going into major depression. But hopefully the new pill won't make me soo miserable.
