I have started using Phentermine a month ago. i havent lost any weight since my use is discontinued. I dont take it everyday since it changes my mood drastically. Sometimes I get really moody and do not want to do anything at all. I get some headaches also and can not sleep for upto 24 hours. should I use a smaller dose. I take only one during the mornings. I get paranoid at times also and my hands shake. Suggestions?

Does anybody else get this?

Hi,

thanks for the reply. I know this will sound wrong for you, but I did not go to the doctor to get phentermine prescribed.

I am taking 30mg. (retard Pellets) a day in the mornings, 30 mins. before breakfast.

Any suggestions, please welcomed!

Thanks,
Valery

I have been taking phentermine (30 mg)for about 3 days now and I am having terrible headaches, I'm very tired and my moods can be unbearable. When I first took phen. three months ago I was buzzing around and kinda of in a bad mood. But man I had so much energy. Now all I want to do is sleep. (?)

I've been taking phentermine for a while. At first I couldn't sleep at all when I took it. I've always had a lot of energy. The program my doctor put me on also has me on Effexor. The Effexor gave me headaches for a while, but I haven't had any headaches from the phentermine.

I am not a doctor, but it sounds like high blood pressure. I noticed that my blood pressure is still high the next day if I take over a certain amount, or if I have alot of coffee the next day. Caffeinated beverages with the Phen sometimes puts my B.P. at uncomfortable levels, so I have had to cut way back on those.
I also get moody when I am Vitamin C deficient (thats normal), or I have had too much sugar and not enough protein.
Every now and then, some St. Johns Wort herb helps me, too smooth out mood swings when my nerves are shot. :D

I think the key to alleviating headaches and bad moods is to drink lots of water. I've had the same problem but when I drink tons of water the problems seem to subside. Also, you should take a potassium supplement since phen causes you to go to the bathroom so much.

Water is the main key to keeping headaches away. I was having terrible headaches when I started the phen until I started drinking water. It delutes the meds so that it doesn't hit as hard. Drink at least 8 glasses a day. Drinking water also helps take away headaches especially if you could be dehydrated. Hope this helps.
