Hello hello hello! I started on December 1st (everyone said I was crazy to start during the holiday season!) and had my first weigh in with my doctor today. Drum roll: I have lost 15 pounds! Wooohoo!! I'm happy dancing all over the place. I was so skeptical but now I believe! My clothes are too big and my friends are noticing! Happy happy me!

So, tell me, when did you all start buying new clothes? I have no idea how to plan for wardrobe additions as I begin to swim in my pants.

another month, another 15!!!!

Way to go tooholly!

I, too, started during the holiday season (December 17!), and had my first weigh-in on Wednesday. 231 on Dec. 17th, 225 on Dec. 26!

We're not crazy for starting now....this way, we had the phen to keep us from gaining those few extra holiday pounds -- and we lost them instead! (or so I like to think! :D)

First- congratulations on your weight loss! That's wonderful! Second- the clothes question is a tough one. Like Kelik, first I bought a smaller pair of jeans, undies, etc. I've added smaller t-shirts, and then I got smaller clothes as gifts for Christmas. Last week I went through my closet and gave away about 1/4 of my old clothes. I've lost 35 pounds (since July) but it's hard to get rid of my clothes. The good news is that I had a bunch of old clothes (10 plus years) in my attic. Some of the pants have come back in style so I'm wearing them too!

Congrats! Like Kelik I only buy a few things as I absolutely have to. I wear those things that are too big but got rid of them as they begin to look really bad. I have bought a few things in smaller sizes so I have some nice things but plan on waiting. I was also lucky to have a lot of things I had kept that were too small so am now getting back into most of them. Ive gone from a 22 to a 16. Got rid of the 22's kept some of the 20s, all of the 18s, sizes are so different from brand to brand that it just all depends as to what I can wear. Pick up a couple of items but keep in mind if you are losing more they will get too big in time. Maybe buy something a little small as a goal item?

well CONGRATS! Good for yoU! What a nice problem to have...(the clothes thing) I am struggling with it myself. I am just trying to refrain from buying much considering I am broke as a joke! I am starting to look a little silly in my old stuff now though, so I will just get enough to get me buy. GOod Luck in the rest of your weight loss...KEPP IT UP!

Buying clothes is an absolute huge problem for me. I have clothes now for when I am heavier, the in between phases, and the stuff that I am still trying to fit into.

I spend way too much money. Even though I don't shop at expensive stores, I buy a lot to make up for that fact. I sometimes go clothes shopping once a week, which for me is way too much. I should only be buying new clothes once every few months!!

I can't help myself. I'm a shopaholic , I know.

Anyways, don't just buy yourself new clothes when you know that you will be loosing more wieght. Wait until the last possible day before making any new purchases.

Also, try throwing away most of your 'fat' clothes. This may motivate you to keep the weight off! I gave most of mine away,(just kept a few items) and not having anything to wear is one sure-fire way to take off the weight. I'm never buying a pair of 13's again!!

Hope my rambling helped!!
