hi all,
well, my worst fears have been realized. without the phen, i fell desperately back into my old eating habits. not that christmas helped any. i gained back 4 lbs over the past 5 days. ya know, that saying about how you didn't put it on overnite so you won't take it off overnite is just bull. i can gain 4 lbs in 5 days, but i sure won't lose 4 lbs in 5 days. anyway, i just refilled the prescription, and will resume my eating plan. but how am i supposed to do this now? i've lost all motivation. anyone have anything uplifting??

Don't feel bad. After Thankgiving I decided to give it up for awhile. With the stress of Christmas and all the other stuff that goes with it. You will have a hard time over the holidays. But you know what you have to do now. Don't worry about the 4lbs. Don't look back. This will be a new start. I am starting again after the first also. I have 40 more pounds to lose. So I am getting back on the horse like I never feel off. Just start all over. Think of it as a new week.

Hope this helps.

It isn't fair, is it.
Don't give up. Maybe take a break from the scales for a few days, and do the things you know you should. It won't go away as fast as it came, but it will go. Stick with it, girl!!

Well first off 4lbs in 5 days is most likely a lot of fluid. I gained 5 lbs then last night another 7. Impossible unless Im really pigging out so I know it is fluid. You have to eat 3500 calories more than you burn to gain a lb. Second you should not stop cold turkey on phen. Taper off. Now last.. you have been eating a special diet. Is this the way you plan to eat for the rest of your life? If not then during the next few months you need to learn to eat like you will for life and control the portions, make adjustments. If you eat something "you shouldnt" then you accomadate for that the rest of the day or the next day. I have gone a week without phen and not gained by eating this way. Sure I didnt lose as fast as you did but Im learning to eat for the rest of my life and not just to take off the weight.

So dont panic. Work on those changes. You've done great so dont beat yourself up.

Jbaby, I know it "looks" awful, but it's really not. Nitra is right. It very well could be fluid retention. If I get on the scale more then once a day (which I do) I can see as much as a 5 lb difference...just in ONE day! Try only weighing in the mornings, and maybe once a week. I am guilty of being OBSESSED with "satan" (my scale) but it works for me. Well...up until lately. It has been going between 189 and 190 for about a week now and It's riving me crazy. I am used to loseing like 2 lbs a week...so I am afraid I might be hitting a plateau. Anyway. Don't panic. Hang in there.

thank you guys all so much. i don't know where i would be without this support. another bit of bright news-the pharmacy accidently gave me an extra refill on my phen, and I'M sure not pointing out their mistake. merry christmas to me....
