Hello all. A couple questions if anyone is willing to help.

1) I read somewhere that the "white tablets" Purepac aren't as effective as other brands. Has anyone experienced this to be true? Unfortunately I read the unfavorable review after ordering... not that the online pharmacy gave me a choice... but I got my order today and it's the white ones.

2) I used Phentermine about 4 years ago for three months and lost 40 lbs. Of course I've gained it all back, plus more since then. *grimace* Anyway... will it be as effective this time? Because I've also read somewhere that it looses effectiveness after taking it for 3 months.

Thanks in advance for any advice. I've been lurking around here for a about a week and just got approved to post. I had no idea that one could order phentermine online until coming across this website. I wish I had known sooner. My previous prescription was from before they pulled fen-phen from the market. I only took 2 of the fens before I gave those up for good! *headache city* So I lost the weight before using only the phen.

I plan to eat better this time around. The phentermine really killed my appetite... I think I was eating less than 500 calories a day (and not hungry at all). So this time I have a menu to make sure I get proper nutrition and calories.

Anyway... I begin in the morning. Just in time for the New Year.

Hello and welcome,

I am sure you will get plenty of advise here. Do eat more than 500 calories a day. By consuming this amt.(500 calories) you are putting your metabolism into starvation mode, making it difficult to lose weight and then when you go back to normal eating, weight gain will increase. Another good reason is it is just not healthy. Drink at least 8- 8oz. glasses of water per day.

Day one update:

Took whole tablet. Feel great. No hunger until about 8pm. Unfortunately... it's 1:30am and I'm not sleepy.

My hubby's relatives are here for holiday celebration... and the phen helped me pass on the cheesy bread at dinner! I ate my whole salad and half of my fish. *yay* Hoping that this effect will not wear off as others here seem to be reporting.

Question: how long have some of you around here been using phen? I notice that 3 months is listed as the length it should be used. Anyone have problems using it longer? I think 3 months won't be long enough to lose the amount I need to lose. :(

Anyway... I'm not telling anyone I know that I'm taking phen. So I'm using you guys for support if anyone is out there.

We're out here alright. The sleeplessness will go away. It only lasted a very short time for me.

Many people seem to have problems with the PurePac. I'm sure if you go way back in the archives here you'll find some discussion regarding Purepac. If it works for you, which it seems to be doing, great.

There are lots of folks who have used phen longer than three months. Having the effectiveness diminish seems to be a common problem, which many seem to deal with by taking short vacations. 5 days on 2 off...that sort of thing. Or taking a week off every couple of months.
