Same Hotel. The Parc 55 sounds like the best for the dollar. Everything else I looked at that I know is nice is $150+ a night.

So do we have an agenda?
San Francisco is probably the one place in America that TRULY has everything. It sounds like a lot of you guys don't travel a lot so I would hate for you to come all the way to SF and hang out in a hotel. The clubs are cool. A lot of the good clubs are heavily gay. And a lot of the clubs have different.....let's just say "vibes" to them. ;) For instance, if there are homophobes in the group then we should probably mark EndUp off the club choice list. :) If you've never seen a drag show then this would be a good time to do it. If you're a little more on the kinky side you can catch a live sex show. Strip clubs are passe' in this town, but there are a couple of good S&M clubs we could hit up.

Or we can just hang out and do the touristy stuff which is also cool. Just need to find out what everyone is up for.

By the way...a lot of my knowledge of the city (SF) is not firsthand by the way. ;) One of my ex-girlfriends/now friend lived there for 10 years during her post college years so she knows all the hidden spots. And let me tell ya'...there are spots that need to REMAIN hidden.

I'm up for anything!! As long as I have some alcohol in me everything sounds like a blast. I am not homophobic....And I'm wondering how we would get to these places if most of us won't have a vehicle? Amy - are you gonna pick me up at the airport and hold my hand?? I already have butterflies! And I posted in Phat's thread already, but I need the number of the hotel so I can make a reservation....

Most of the places are accessable by foot or by cablecar. You will walk. Quite a bit in a lot of cases. (Comfortable shoes)

Once I get to SF I rarely move my car. You really don't want to unless you have to. Parking is a premium downtown.

I'm with Cali! LOL! I'm going to be walking up and down hill getting into shape for 3 months prior to the trip! When I get there I'm tryin' to chill a bit. However, I don't want to miss anything... and I definately am walking on the Golden Gate Bridge! Also, I don't have ANYthing that isn't fashionable so for me, it probably will be a fashion show! LOL! I can hang out in my sweats here at home. You best believe after losing 25-30 more pounds, I'm gonna be sportin' some serious fashion. Unless you consider designer clothes fashion. In that case, I'm not puttin' on my fashion show! Ok, I went and applied at a couple of places. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get this job at Avenue. It's a plus size clothing store. I'm tellin' you... any plus size clothing store practically throws an application in my face before I walk out the door. I guess that's a good thing though. But then again, it's not :(

Well the good news about hanging out at the Cheesecake Factory it that you have the best of all the worlds. Food, booze, desserts, all perched atop an 8 story Macy's with an entire floor practically dedicated to womens shoes!!!!

Food, booze and shopping. The classic trifecta. Doesn't get much better than that.

We are just meeting up in SF, for a few days. Cause we'd like to actually meet some of the people that we talked with, supported, and got support from in this forum.

One serious thought before it's a 100% go for me...
With my new nurse internship position that I'm taking this summer, I don't really know how easy it would be for me to get the weekend off. I am going to be working in a dialysis unit, and we're closed on Sundays, so I would just have to worry about Friday and Saturday. But here's the thing..I'm also going to have to ask for the 17th off (Saturday before trip) because of a family reunion. What do you guys think about this situation?

Yay Big D!! It's official!!! I'm so excited!! Now that you've got your tickets, I'm anxious to go find a job. I'm gonna put in lots of applications today! I know I'll have one by next week! If I get a job and get paid by the 14th of May, then start saving $100/wk, I could make my reservations by the middle of June and by trip time I'd have lots of extra spending money! Yeah! I've got a plan!! I can't wait to meet all of you!
