We just finished week 5! How is everyone doing??
Im feeling a bit punchy myself! Nothing like having to get up at 3am just to get in your workout before you head off for the day!
I have been bad about posting. Im not good at having to put down every day what I do, guess that is why I find food journaling a real pain and end up lasting about a day and then say screw this, I just dont have time!
Anyway I have been doing my workouts, adding in walking daily. I have the luxury of being able to sleep in if I wish but I set the alarm and drag my butt out of bed at 5 or 530 6 days a week. I have gone from walking about a mile to walking/jogging 2 miles a day. I alternate.. walk some then jog some then walk..etc. In 2 days I will finish the first 30 days of Power 90. I could not wait so took my measurements today. Ill do the official ones in 2 days but 2 inches off my hips, 2 inches off my waist, 3 inches off thigh, and 1 inch in the chest.. so back really.. in just ONE short month!
Other changes I have noticed.. I fall asleep so much easier. I find getting out of bed in the morning easier, Im not tired all day.
I am one that really, really hates exercise. I do love the results. I become obsessed if Im not careful. The more results I get the more I want and push harder and harder and then burn myself out. But on the other side, if I dont see results I will give up. I also get bored very easily. I have a collection of work out tapes to prove this.
Anyone thinking about exercise but just cant seem to get motivated, give yourself just 1 month. commit to that month. Weigh on day one, take photos of all sides, measure, then put it all in a safe place and ignore it for the next 30 days. Dont get on that scale, dont measure, just focus on your exercise program. Take it easy at first, work yourself up, feel yourself getting stronger. At the end of the month, do it all again, weigh, measure, etc. You might not see a big change in the scale so the measurement part is important. You can also do a body fat percentage at the beginning and then again in 30 days. See where you are. You might be surprised. Now that you completed one month, why not challenge yourself to another month? Hey that first 30 days is over so cant be hard to whip out another 30 days right? Give it a shot and see. What do you have to loose.. maybe a few inches!
Been working out and just not seeing results anymore? Might be you need to make some changes. The body will get used to the exercise program, so over time you are going to have to find new ways to challenge your body to respond.
Dont make your expectations unrealistic. Set real, attainable goals. Maybe take the focus off the weight and more on the health issue. If you are pushing yourself, even just 30 minutes a day, you are getting stronger, healthier, and in time you will see your body start to change. One day you will find you can now fit in that pair of pants that were too tight before, or zip those jeans without needing a pair of pliars.
We have just over 5 months left till cruise. I dont care what you weigh but I want to see some healthy folks. I want to see you taking those stairs on that ship without looking like you are going to pass out. Lets kick butt!
Challenge yourself to do this and do it now!
