Ok you really dont need as much as you think you do.

Formal nights - if you want to wear a ball gown, go for it, you dont have to. You can make due with a simple black dress, a nice skirt and top, its really not that formal. You will see some in Tuxes and ball gowns while others you will see in suits and pant suits. Nice black slacks and a nice blouse works well too.

During the day - shorts, capris, swimwear, casual comfortable clothes. If in port, it can be really hot and you want to keep that in mind. Cottons are the best. Something breathable and cool. Light colors.

Evenings - non formal nights - casual skirts, nice capris, sun dresses, slacks. The dining room can be cool and so can the show lounges so you might want a little something to toss on if needed, a light jacket or sweater works well.

Shoes - Keep in mind you will do a lot of walking, wear comfy shoes! Even on the ship you do a lot of walking, if you dont wear heels normally, you might want to stick to what you are used to or get them early to practice wearing them, get your feet conditioned. Think about what activities you are going to be doing and pack accordingly.

Remember you can wear things more than once. Bring mix and match, you could get more than one outfit from 1 skirt if you bring a couple of tops. During the day on board ship, swimwear, coverups, be casual and comfortable.

You are going to see a lot of different style clothing. There will be everything from designer to dollar store. Wear what you are comfortable wearing. If you try to keep up with someone else then you are only going to stress yourself and end up with a bunch of stuff you are not comfortable wearing anyway!

There is a blowdryer in the cabin. They do not have nor will provide irons due to fire hazards. You can send it out for ironing or go out and invest in a little travel iron.

There is only 1 outlet in the cabin, if you have a lot to plug in.. might want to pack a power strip.

There is a lot of storage space in the cabins. The closet space is not big but you can make it work if you pack carefully.

Ok we will go into more detail later but I know a few are shopping now so thought we would get some info out there.

YIPPEEE...No Iron!!!!!
I'm used to flufflin my clothes...dont worry I wont bring my clothes dryer
What always worked for me on cruises...is to hang your clothes in the tiny bathroom while you shower and let the steam get the wrinkles

ironing them really well and putting tissue in them like they do in the stores works well too. The hanging stuff, use dry cleaner bags..

There is always something I need to touch up so the travel iron is good for that but never anything that needs a major ironing. Another thing I love is that Downey wrinkle releaser!

Hooray for Downey Wrinkle Releaser! I love the stuff. :D
I have very limited closet space in my little apartment and it seems like no matter what I do, things get wrinkled. So I pull something out of the closet the night before and use the wrinkle releaser. Hang it on the door overnight and it looks great in the morning.
If it's casual wear (T-shirts, shorts, etc.) I just spray, smooth, and wear.

Also thanks for the wardrobe tips Nitra. I do want one really special formal outfit...just because. But I'm glad to see capris as a good all around choice for a lot of the time.

BTW...I found a great swimsuit I really love with matching long skirt. Just hope it is available in my size (whatever that turns out to be) when Sept. gets here. Otherwise I will be dragging out the old sewing machine and making something similar. Just way too gorgeous not to have for the cruise!
In fact, I may just make a short skirt to match one swimsuit anyway. Think of the versatility. One minute a sundress...the next a swimsuit!
Oh dear...now my brain is working overtime on all the mix-n-match possibilities and multiple uses for various articles of clothing.
At this rate, I may be able to do the whole cruise out of a couple of carry-ons. LOL!! :D
