Hi i just started taking he phen on July 10th and boy does it make me very thirsty, it seems like i can drink the ocean and more, does anyone else have this effect i mean it is a good side effect since it is water and that sure helps with losing weight. Anyway i am 216 pounds and i want to lose 76 pounds actually my doc said thats what i need to lose so that is my goal and i was wondering how fast does the weigh come off. I am walking and watching what i eat and of course drinking lots of water so i need everyones input please.
Thanks Cathy

I am new to phen too. I also feel like I could drink an ocean. This site seems to be pretty helpful.

It does make me very thirsty too. which is great because it keeps me full and it's good for you... I think it just depends on your body of how it works. I run and walk 5 times a week and try to stay around 1200 calories a day. I have lost 13.5lbs in 5 weeks. I'm also on cymbalta which makes you gain weight, so I have to work extra hard. Just stick with it.. Once you start losing it makes you so motivated to lose more.

when i was on phen, i drank soooooo much water, i had to pee literally constantly. how much weight you lose and how fast depends upon you- your level of excercise, amount of calories you consume, and the types of food you're eating. i was on phen from april 10th to the beginning of june. i lost 35 lbs, and have kept it all off, so far. its about lifestyle change, and phen is a tool to help us to make these permanent changes. since last september, i have lost 76 pounds, and phen helped me get past that final hump!!!!! good luck, and you'll get out of it what you put in!!! keep drinkin that water, but don't forget electrolytes, too!! try a lil watered down gatorade, like just a cup, so after you sweat a bunch, you replace that sodium and potassium (sometimes i'd get a lill nauseous and dizzy after a ton of excercise if i didn't replace em!!!)

Phen will make you thirsty, big time. And constipated, finally asked my doctor why..and he said if your mouth is dry, then well, so are the other places too! He suggested drinking tons of water and use Miralax for constipation.

One doctor I looked at online suggested taking a Xenical (Alli), waiting an hour, and then eating KFC to treat constipation!!! I'll stick to Mag Citrate if I need it :)
