How many months have you been on phen? In other words, how many months would your doctor prescribe it to you? I've read that it only really works for 6-8 weeks. Have you found that to be true? Thanks for your help.

I have been taking phen everyday for about 6 months. I plan to take it for another 4-5 months and then ween myself off of it. It is being prescribed to me by a doctor. I have lost 43 lbs so far. The first 30 of that came off very quickly, but the last 13 have slowing come off over the last 3 months. I think that it has been a blessing that it slowed down a bit....I was getting worried about loose skin. I still have the dry mouth and occassionally have a hard time going to sleep, but for the most part, phentermine has been absolutely great!
