I am worried I will not be able to keep the weight off after I meet my goal.I hate yo-yoing.I almost didn't take phen because I didn't want to loose weight to gain it back.Has anyone had long term success? How did you do it?

Okay-

I am not totally off yet. I am working myself off slowly. I don't think anyone should go off like "cold turkey" even though I don't NEED to lose anymore weight...I do not want to freak my system out. I think the thing that seems to be working for me is...when you reach your goal start taking a pill every other day for a couple weeks and then 2 days off one day on and continue the water, exercise and eating light...and monitor your weight to make sure you are still maintaining. I did start to feel cravings again and a little bit more hungry. But so far so good! I haven't gained any weight back and hope to be completely done with the meds soon!

I too felt the nervousness and apprehension about gaining back. I hope to follow this thread to see what others have to say.

Take Care! :gulp:

I don't want to discourage you, but I tried phen for the first time in March of 2002 and lost 43lbs. by August 2002 and then the phen just wasn't working for me and I got discouraged myself. The Dr. tried a couple of different things and I still did't feel like it was helping me. It seemed I was loosing more money than weight, so I just quit going. I tried starting different diets, made several attempts to go back to weight watchers and just couldn't get going again. I've also had ongoing problems with my ankle and haven't been able to exercise. Then I had to deal with female problems for the last several months wich eventually led to a hysterectomy about a month ago. Now I'm feeling pretty good willing to give phen another try, because I have seriously considered gastric bypass surgery. I think If I would have known about this site and the support here it would have helped. I realize phen is just a tool that has to be used with healthy eating and exercise, and a wonderful tool it is. You have done yourself a great service by finding this sight and if we use this site also as a tool I think we can be sucsessful. I hope this helps you in some way.
