Anybody out there taking Meridia?

My Aunt did. I'm not sure the mg, but took it two summers ago for three months and lost between 30-40 lbs. My sis's best friend, who is also a nurse, bought hers from Canada, and lost 35 lbs last summer and has kept it off. She recommended it to me b/c its different than phen, in that its not like speed like Phen. But I decided to take 15 mg phen from online, because a few years ago my doc put me on adipex 37.5 which is the same thing. I just wanted to go w/ less strength. Just be wary of taking any antidepressants w/ it. Even SSRI's. there is debatable info out there, but I'm hearing the people that get the heart-lung problems are the ones that are mixing the two for lasting appetite suppressant effect at the DR's advice. I even have prozac (sarafem) in my cupboard, and I'm scared to mix the two. Just my $0.02.

Thanks Marilyn. I'm having good results right now, so your words are encouraging. The only side effects I noticed where chills and tiredness, but I HAD to take a benadryl yesterday morning or I was going to sneeze my nose off. It is likely a combo of the 2 together that did me like that because my 1st day was fine (this is only day 3). Good luck, hon.

Hello there!

Has anyone been on Xenical?
I have just been prescribed this by my doctor becuase I didn't get any kind of results at all from the Phentermine. Nothing! I was so upset about it. Infact after I began taking it I was even more so hungry! I couldn't explain it! But once I stopped taking it I found myself not wanting to eat even half as much. I would love to hear some feed back if anyone has ever used Xenical before. I ha :spider_red: ve been on it for almost a week now and I haven't had any side effects at all.

I shudder at the thought of xenical. I had dreadful side effects. Also, I didn't think the Meridia was giving me any negative side effects, but I am now realizing the constipation is horrible. I have only been doing #2 1xweek and it makes me miserable.

What kinds of side effects did you have? Was it just the constipation?
How long were you on the Xenical? Did you find that you lost any weight with it? How long were you on it? :blabla:

The meridia made me constipated and that was the ONLY side effect. I could take fiber con all week and still not go #2 for a full week! Other than that it was fab. I think I'm going to talk to my doc and start back up if we can get a solution together.

I only tried the xenical for about a week. The final straw was when I was walking through the mall in my scrubs after work and this oil just squirted from my rear without any notice whatsoever. Pretty gross.

I took merida for about a month and oh man about 1 hour after I took it I became another person likt a total (b*tch). I then did not take anything for a while now I take phentermine and seem not to have any problems.

Hi, I started my diet about a month ago on phen and although I lost weight I felt it was more down to willpower than the drug because as soon as it started to wear off I got really hungry. I had tried meridia before and did really well but then used the generic which I didn't find effective and gave up. So, I decided to stop the phen and start meridia again instead....so far so good...i've lost about 17lb in 3 weeks (and I have no side effects - i check my b/p regularly and its not changed at all, plus I don't get the spaced feeling I had from phen)

It works for me so far...I hope it continues to work for you...good luck x

2 year off and on phen user here

it was time for a change i did lose 48 lbs on phen gained 21 back after i stopped using it for 6 months but i lost inches and clothes fit better.

just picked up meridia today so will give this shot

anybody else have any updates on there use ?

Meridia has worked for me. I've lost 18 kg in 6 months. No matter what diets I used historically did not help me in my situation. My hunger could not be suppressed and the countless attempts to lose the weight were fruitless. Only Meridia worked and I didn't have any side effects :)
