Has anybody actually set up a diet and exercise plan that has worked for them. Something that they do religiously and they can't live without it.

Hi,
I am on my 3rd week of 37.5 and last checked I lost 12 pounds. I will check again after what they call Aunt Flow leaves me.
I started slow with only 20 min. of walking 3.7 on treadmill second week I started doing 40 min. of what is called weight loss program where it starts off at 1.5 and goes up to 4.5 and gradually goes down. {it is only a 20 min. program but I do it twice* I am finding it quite easy to keep it up and actually get up atomatically do do this since I work nights in an assited living community. I also have a 7 1/2 yr old son that has to get picked up from daycare in afternoon so I take that 40 min. for my time. I have found that a radio station that has music that purks you up tends to help greatly. I am 39 ewwww that 40 is sneaking up on me and I am going to get this weight off of me by this summer. I am started at 227 and now 214 goal by 2 July is 180 or less {my sister is coming to visit).
Well good luck keep in touch and let me know if you find something that works for you.

HI
I got up after sleeping for while and really wasn't going to get on the treadmill today,, just didn't feel like it. Then what do I find myself doing is going up and weighing myself I really wasn't thinking of that scale moving past 214/215 but WOW it had been 3 days since last weigh and I am 212! I can't even remember when I weighed that. I got dressed and went and worked on treadmill for my 40 min. things are moving again this is good! Good luck everyone!
Today was my 3rd day on treadmill would like to try for maybe friday also, we will see.

I'm new here and just jumping right in to the conversation.... hope nobody minds.
Quick Walking (a 15 minute mile is "quick" for me!)is what I do religiously... and it never fails me. I used to like doing it to music - but I found it slowed me down. I walk in my neighborhood on non-rainy days - but on rainy days I pop in the Leslie Sansone "Walk-robics" videotape. She has something called the "miracle mile". It only takes like 10 minutes or less and if I have the time I do the 5 minutes of exercising at the end. I felt silly at first since I'd never exercised to a video before - but it definitely gives you a good workout and unless your VCR is broken - it's pretty hard to make excuses why you can't do it! (I always seem to find an excuse when I'm depressed - but it is pretty hard to come up with one!)
You people are great! It's a joy to get to read everybody's comments, it is very encouraging!

Tae-Bo! Its hard at first. But I LOVE the way I feel when I finish it and know I have pushed myself! I WILL NOT miss my days, I have even done it at 10:30 p.m. at night before, because I didn't want to miss it.
