Thryoid medication with Phen

Wondering if anyone is on thryoid meds with the phen. Has it affected the medicine at all? Thanks!

Hi Puppypup,

I'm on 200 MCG of Synthroid and taking phen doesn't seem to affect the Synthroid at all.

Hi, Puppypup, I'm Doodlebug! I'm new to this forum, and I belong to the thyroid forum!

I have been taking thyroid drugs for 22 years. I have taken Armour Thyroid, Synthroid, a combination of Synthroid and Cytomel, Thryrolar, and now......Thank the Lord, I have found a wonderful Endo. Here in Houston, that has given me Armour Thyroid.

(By the way, Armour Thyroid is natural thyroid, made from pigs!)

I have gained weight from the Thyroid Disease and have had a Total Hysterectomy from the Disease.

Anyway, he recently gave me Phentermine!

He told me that I would be fine taking it with my Thyroid Meds.

I take the 37.5 purpak plus my Thyroid Meds. every morning on an empty stomach. Wait at least 1 hour and I am good to go.

I started on Nov. 21. And as of now I have lost about 10lbs.

I am getting excited, now!!!

Only if I can make it through, CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS!!!!!

Hi Puppy, I started July 27 the phen and I was taking 175mcg of Synthroid. I was diagnosed after the birth of my 1st child 3 years ago. Every month the more weight I lose the less synthroid I take. Right now, I weigh 138 as of friday and I take 125. I have a feeling it will be dropped this week to 100mcg though. I've lost 54 pounds and Havn
havn't had any problem taking them together. I take them at the same time every am. Good Luck Tee

Hi Doodlebug and Tee, I was glad to hear from the both of you, I never told my doctor I was on the phen so it's good to know your doctor okay'd it. (I know I should have told him.) I am on 15 phen.
I started out taking more but didn't sleep. The 15 cuts my appetite, so I'm happy with that. It really takes care of any junk food cravings.
Started taking it in July, by October I lost 33 pounds. I haven't weighed myself since then. Still have to lose alot more but I'm sure feeling better. I was in a size 22 jeans but now in a 16 and even 14 in some slacks. I was in a size 3x on top but am starting to get into 1x's or even some xl's. What a good feeling! I do need to get my throyid levels this week! Hope you guys have a good week. Puppypup

I have just started taking the phentermine pills and was wondering if there is something that I can take to increase my thyroid. I am looking for something over the counter if possible. Any information will be appreciated!!
