Meridia vs Phentermine

Hi, I just started taking Meridia 8/4. Other than a slight increase in BP I'm fine. Dr said to give my system a chance to regulate, blah blah blah. So far, so good, I guess. But I will admit, it's kind of scary reading the horror stories out about Meridia. My dr preferred Meridia over Phentermine. Do any of you know of any pros and cons over the two meds? I would need to be on whichever for more than a couple of months. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello, I started out on Meridia, and I loved it but after about 2 months I got stuck and thats when dr. put me on Phentermine to get me out of the rutt. I still have a full bottle and use it sometimes to take a break from Phen. But i never had any side effect accept dry mount, i would not worry about all you read, any and all meds have some horror stories.

Thank you, you're right. I need to speak to my doctor anyway. My BP has really been elevated in the short time that I've been on this... I'm going to talk to her about lowering my dosage 15mg to 10mg to see if that makes a difference, I really do like the "full feeling" that I get, so I really want to give this a chance.

I used Meridia about 3 months.What I hated the most was the cost! Yikes! :eek: I had to pay $85 a month. I did lose about 30 lbs. but it was real struggle. I don't think the Meridia had much to do with it. I was just really motivated at the time! :D I just started 15mg of phentermine and I hope it helps me. I tend to lose weight and then gain it all back plus some!!!
