Anyone here used nicotine patches or gum?

I was wondering if anyone here used either nicotine patches or gum... either before they used phentermine, or both used at same time.

What were the effects? How did the nicotine affect weight loss? (I wonder this *especially* if anyone with a *minor* smoking problem then lost weight when they began using nicotine patches or gum.)

Hi - I have been on phen for three months and have been chewing my nicotine gum right along with it. I am losing and I dont think that there are any wierd side effects. One thing though - If you haven't started the gum yet - maybe choose the patch. i love this gum even more than the stupid cigs - I've been chewing it for three years! Go figure.......
