Estrogen (estradiol) and phentermine?

I was wondering if anyone is taking supplementary estradiol and is also on phentermine. Do you notice certain effects good or bad from being on both? (Also, how has the estradiol affected your weight?)

*I'm not talking about conjugated equine estrogens like in Premarin, but estradiol, which is the hormone your body makes, which is also available in a sublingual, patch, etc.

Also, has phentermine affected anybody's body estrogen levels (as discovered via lab tests, etc.) - whether or not you take supplementary estradiol?

I take 2 mg of Estradiol (green pill). I have to say I haven't noticed much help with the intense hot flashes. I had a complete hysterectomy last May. What have your results been? My mood is fine. My weight is awful, but it was before the operation as well, so I can't say it's the Estradiol, although now I wonder if that was the cause of the 18 pounds I gained last fall.

What have you been noticing? Or are you just gathering information about whether or not to do this? I have an appt. next week to discuss other options since 2 mg is really high to not have wonderful results.

Thanks for your reply. At this point I'm just checking out info. As with a lot of people who have a hard time losing weight, I'm a bit low in thyroid, so take a little extra thyroid hormone. I'm also a little low (still in normal range) in estradiol, and have heard that weight issues often normalize more when optimal blood levels of estradiol are present.
