Is there any weight loss drug that is ok to use while breast feeding? I desperately want to fit into my old clothes again!
Thanks!

hi there babamama
I am a midwife and can quite catagorically tell you that ALL weight loss pills will show up in your breast milk. Dont take them while you are breastfeeding, you are endangering your baby. But did you realise that breastfeeding is a great method for weightloss in itself? The body lays down a substance called 'brown fat' while pregnant used after the birth by the body to promote breast milk production. The stores of brown fat do not last long, the body then uses up your normal fat stores. If you take approx 1200 cals per day, with plenty of water, you WILL loose weight in a way that most of us would love to. Keep breastfeeding. Its natures way of helping you to loose the weight gained in pregnancy. the baby gets a great diet too! Stay strong and well done.

Thank you for your reply, Pammie. I have decided to relax on the whole weight loss issue. I was feeling hormonal and impatient but have calmed down now. I love breastfeeding, so I certainly won't stop just so I can take phentermine.
Take care~
