otc water pills are a lot safer. prescription diuretics usually give a rebound effect. i suggest something more natural for water retention, like dandelion root extract.

Hi TEXAS MOM :p
I take birth control pils, and my gyn prescribed me Dyazide ( water pill) to help w/ the water retention. But next month I'm going to try a new B/C pill called Yasmin. :) I contains the diuretic already in it. If they work out okay, then I stop the Dyazide. you got to watch that you don't over do potassium ( like taking extra supplements) when you take a potassium sparing water pill (that's what my gyn has me on). I'm not sure about the water pill you're on, but you can go to ********** and look it up in more detail. good luck :D
