to thegirl, my experience on celexa

i too was on celexa for quite a while, and found through some reading that one of the side effects is increased appetite, and weight gain, there are many others, but this is what it did to me. i was hungry all the time on the celexa, always snacking on something, which was not the norm for me. before i knew it i had gained about 25pds. i went from 130 to about 154-155. i went to my dr. about this, and i decided to get off of it. from everything i have read the celexa effects everyone in a different way, some even lose weight on it, but this is just my experience on it. i have been on phen since 3-9, and my current weight is 140, i am slowly on my way, but i will never take the celexa again. this may give you no help at all, but i just wanted to let you know ,my experience with it. good luck to you.

I am taking Celexa for depression, and it has helped a lot, so I don't want to stop taking it right now. My doctor added the Wellbutrin to help curb my appetite, but it just isn't enough. I am going to continue with my mix and see how it goes.

i was also on celexa for depression, and it did help me, but i just could not take the weight gain. i am starting to feel depressed again, but i'm just going to try to deal with it myself. my dr. said he would give me something else, but i am scared to try. good luck to you, i wish you the best. :)
