I STARTED PHENTERMINE IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR.

THE FIRST WEEK I WAS FINE.

THE SECOND WEEK I WAS COMING DOWN WITH A COLD AND TOOK SOME THERA FLU AND THE MIXTURE OF THE COLD MEDICINE AND THE PHENTERMINE MADE ME FEEL VERY FUNNY. LIGHT HEADED, EXTREMLY TIRED, PINCHING FEELINGS DOWN MY LEFT ARM AND LEFT SIDE OF NECK AND CHEST. I STOPPED THE PHENTERMINE FOR 4 DAYS. STARTED BACK UP WITH ONLY HALF A DOSE...HAD NO PROBLEMS.

NOW I'M BACK UP TO THE WHOLE PILL 37.5 MG.
I HAVE LOW BLOOD SUGAR PROBLEMS, WHEN I DON'T EAT RIGHT, SKIP A MEAL ETC. I FOUND WITH PHENTERMINE YOU NEED TO EAT A LITTLE SOMETHING EVEN IF YOUR NOT HUNGRY OR THE BLOOD SUGAR IS GOING TO DROP. STARTING THE PHENTERMINE, I DIDN'T WANT TO EAT AND THATS ANOTHER REASON WHY MY BLOOD SUGAR WAS ACTING UP. PRETTY MUCH GOT THIS UNDER CONTROL SINCE TAKING PHEN.

I NOTICE MY MOUTH GETS REAL DRY, AND IT FEELS LIKE THERE IS A BAND AROUND MY HEAD AT TIMES...
BUT I'M LOSING WEIGHT!!!! I'VE LOST 21 LBS SO FAR AND I'VE GOT 15 TO GO.

I'VE HEARD YOUR ONLY SUPPOSE TO TAKE THIS MEDICINE FOR SO LONG AND THEN YOUR SUPPOSE TO GIVE YOU BODY A BREAK, IS THIS TRUE?
OR
IF YOU HAVE ANY ADVISE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW
THANKS

Hi Cindylou!! I have been taking phentermine and xenical since November 1st (lost 55lbs so far). I, too had a problem with phentermone when I had a cold...enough so I went into an urgent care center on a Sunday. I was told that taking phentermine is NOT good in conjunction with cold medicine that contains pseudoephedrine (not sure if I spelled that right...basically, anything that has "sudafed" in it). It will speed up your heart rate and cause lightheadedness. That was my experience with the phentermine and cold medicine!! As far as the dry mouth...I LOVED it...it MADE me drink a ton of water! :) That side effect went away not long after, though!

Good luck, I hope the info helped a little...and congrats on the weight loss thus far! :)
