I have been taking it for two weeks now. Yes there are side effects if you ate to much fat. I have been on a low fat diet for 6 weeks now and have lost 12 pounds so far. I feel it is still worth taking even if you are on a low fat diet. It is working for me. I also go to the gym 5-6 days a week. I have gone out to dinner 3-4 times since starting this diet and ate more fat then I do every day, I was glad to have the xenical I felt it help me not to gain back any of the pounds I lost. IT is still going to take time and afort to reach my goel of 120 pounds, I feel that this will help me get there. It won't stop you from eating fat :p , but when you do you will know that not all of it is going to your hips. Some people told me it can be cobined with Phen ? Any risk to do that?

Lorena, I have been taking both but for only 2 weeks now and have seen it is making a big difference. I have been on Phentermine for 6 weeks now and have lost 7 pounds but added the Xenical. I pray it really helps. I have had no side effects with the 2 combined. Of course, I have the usual side-effects of Xenical which is blah!!! Best wishes to you.

I'm on Xenical about a week and ive lost 3 pounds already. But the first 3 days ...nothing. So I got nervous and will also be going on Phen. I didn't get the shipment yet but will let you know how it goes. As for mixing. I have heard alot of others do it and with no bad mix effects. So I guess its up to you.

Just a thought, not sure but you guys might want to check around. xenical removes fat out of the body. It also takes everything else in the intestinal track with it so I think you have to be careful that you are not taking the phentermine out of the body with it also thus defeating the purpose of the phen. Not 100% sure I could be wrong but maybe if someone else out there is doing both they would know.

Xenical keeps your body from absorbing 1/3 of the fat that you take in. Break your daily calorie consumption down into protein, carbs, and fat. Carbs. and protein are 4 calories for each gram, and fat is 9 calories. It's easiest if you know where all your calories are coming from. Once you figure out how many fat caloies you are taking in during a day, divide this figure by 3. The amount you get is the calories that your body wont absorb from the Xenical.

If you eat 1500 calories with 60 gm. of fat, that's 540 calories that are coming from fat. Xenical will get rid of 180 calories.

The less fat that you fat, the less you will benifit from taking Xenical.

If you only eat 20 gm. of fat a day, Xenical will only get rid of 60 calories.

New member here! Is 'phentermine.com' the best place to buy both Xenical and Phentermine? I want to try the combination. Does anyone know of any interactions with 'Zoloft' and these two medications?
Many thanks to all!

'phentermine.com' doesn't sell the prescriptions. He/They only provide us with this forum and the information in it. The online pharmacy on "the banner at the top of this page" is just an affiliate (like a little commercial for our viewing pleasure  )...

As far as the drug interaction question goes...you have to be VERY careful with any medication that stimulates or depresses the central nervous system when taking an anti-depressant. PLEASE consult a doctor or pharmacist on this one :)

To everyone out there I have been taking Phentermine since the middle or end of April and it's great. I have lost all of 25 pounds since I weighed in. The first month I lost 14 pounds. The only sidde effects that I have noticed are dry mouth. This is also the first month that I have really experinced a normal period and that was great for me, I mean missing my periods.

I have notice that everyone is talking about calories. You should not be concerned with calories it's the (TOTAL CARBOHYDRATE)you intake everyday.

I only intake about anywhere from maybe 32g or 64 grams of carbohydrates a day. If you look at it you have enough body fat to live off of for months so that's enough carbohydrates a day for anyone weighing in at 190 or 200 pounds and your ideal weigh is suppose to be 137 pounds like me.

I feel good about myself and I haven't felt this way in 6 years. I will be going to my 20th year High School Reunion in July and I look great.

I was wearing a size 14 going into a 16 and now I am wearing a size 10 and some 12's. I only eat chicken and fish any kind. No bread, corn, pasta's of any kind, no sodas, ice cream, potatoe chips of any kind. It took a lot of will power and depriving myself of things that I liked but it was worth it. You need to see me now compared to what I looked like from the beginning of the year up until the beginning of April.

My words of encouragement as if I haven't said enough. If you are taking PHENTERMINE keep taking it if your side effects are not bad, because if you take it long enough it will work.

My doctor told me that Phentermine was just an appetite suppresant and not a diet pill. He said that it was up to me to lose the weight and that phentermine was just a useful helper. I had to quit eating like a pig and change my eating habits and all of you will have to do the same. Just think of a time when we won't be able to get Phentermine and then what. If you change your eating habits then you won't have to worry.

Good luck everyone and I do so hope that this was insightful and helpful to a lot of you out there.

Those of you who take phen and xenical, you take the daily dose of phen, right? Then do you take xenical after every meal? Or just high fat ones? Or is it just a daily dose as well? I was just wondering. I don't eat too many high fat meals, and am on a low fat/low cal diet. And am on phen. Was just wondering if xenical can be useful on those meals when you just dont eat right??

HELLO I HAVE BEEN ON PHENTERMINE FOR 15 WEEKS AND HAVE ONLY LOST 25 LBS OF MY 100 GOAL. I RECENTLY ADDED XENICAL AND I TAKE IT ONLY IF I EAT A MEAL THAT HAS OVER 7 GRAMS OF FAT. I FIGURE ANYTHING LESS THAN 7 GRAMS OF FAT THE XENICAL WILL JUST BE WAISTED SINCE IT ONLY RIDS 30% OF FAT INTAKE.
IF YOU DONT EAT MORE THAN 7 GRAMS OF FAT I WOULD SAVE THEM FOR WHEN YOUR'E EATING OUT BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MANY HIDDEN FAT GRAMS ARE IN RESTURANT FOODS(MARGARINE,SAUCES,ECT.)

i've dieted many times in my life. fatness runs in our family. i've used many diets successfully. what i've discovered--make no mistake--is that the number one thing to focus on is CALORIES. 9 calories per gram for fats; 4 calories per gram for carbohydrates; 4 calories per gram for protein.

I've heard a million dieters tell me about this and that diet that doesn't focus on the above, but when you analyze it out, if the diet they are talking about is successful, it will have adhered to the above guidelines. for example, weight watchers has a system of "units" or some such, that, if analyzed out, comes down to calories. if you eat the number of units they recommend, you will be eating few enough calories to lose weight. (with weight watchers, the advantage of units is that it makes it much more likely that you'll be eating a balanced diet.)

the only diet that the jury is still out on, as far as I am concerned, is the no carbo diet, which has popped up under various names throughout the years. i did a no-carbo diet through "Doctor's Weight Loss Center" in about 1983. I lost weight. but, in retrospect, i think i may well have lost weight mainly because of cutting calories, not because of having entered a state of ketoacidosis from eating very few carbohydrates.

***********************

fat is stored energy. calories are a measure of energy. if you eat more calories than you need to run your body, you sock away the fat. to lose weight, eat fewer calories than you need. this is the heart and soul of every diet. forget the grapefruit diets, and no-dairy product diets, and dodge-the-bread-and-potatoes diets, and whatever diets. just count your calories, take your vitamin-mineral supplement, make sure you get enough protein and fat and carbohydrates.

one more thing: in my experience, "if it ain't hurtin', it ain't workin'" most of these tricky diets are really just an effort to escape the central fact that losing wieght is seldom easy.
