I have been taking Phentermine for 3 days now and I have to take two 30mg yellow pills just for it to have an effect. Why is that? Also I wanted to know why people take this medication for years when it suggested use is only a few weeks? I just want to make sure I am not going to overdose. I don't have any real side effects except for cotton mouth and the fact that the medication makes me not want to eat at all.

First off welcome. I take the blue/clear 30 and I only take one. I have taken it now for about 5 weeks. I skipped a week to make its effects last longer. I am not sure if you should be taking that many, you might need to bump up to the 37.5 mg or a different type. The only side effects I have had are dry mouth, lack of appetite, and that goes for sex too. So that is why I got off of it a while so I could see if the effects were still there. Which I still had dry mouth, but the sexual and lack of appetite went away. So I am back on the phen this morning.

I took the Phen-Fen before they pulled the Fen (pondimon). Is it possible to get it anywhere?

I don't think so - I could be wrong but I thought that the FDA banned the Fen end of it.

I agree, I believe phen/fen has been banned. Too many lawsuits and complications. My boyfriends mom took something like that and she has some type of heart promblems now.
