I am on 30 mg and have no bad side-effects except dry mouth, which actually helps me to drink more water. While my appetite and my habit of obsessing over food has slowed, unfortunately, I have not experienced a significant increase in energy and am still very sedintary. 2 questions:

1. Should I ask my doctor to up the dosage to 37mgs?
and
2. What advice do you successful phen users have about starting an excercise program? Everytime I get up to exercise, I just lose interest. I have walked, treadmill, nordic track, dance aerobics, tonetics, yoga, etc. I need a strategy. Please advise.

Hi I have been on phen for 5 months. My energy level really increased when my Dr. finally put my up to 37.5. And I had the visous cycle of too tired to exercise, and tired because I didnt exercise. I started at 190 and 5 mns later 159. And I am NEVER tired.

I just started the pills 3 days ago and I have been full of energy and motivated to exercise. Before starting the pills I was working out at least 5 days a week for 30 mins. I had lost 22 pounds on my own before the pills. I am really hoping this will help boost me even more and speed me up on my journey.

I take 37.5, they really give me a great energy boost! I've been working out at the gym prior to taking phentermine but the energy I get from this I feel like I can go on forever. They will definitely give you the boost you need!

Thanks elle78. How long have you been taking the phentermine. My question is, I've been on them for 4 days and decided to get on the scale. I have lost 1 pound but I see others on the board that say they have lost 5-7 in one week. The pills make it so I don't want to eat. Could that be my problem? I only consume about 700-800 calories per day when before I took the pills I was eating about 1200-1300.
