I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME WITH THIS ONE: I AM ON ADIPEX-P, AND I AM ONLY TAKING IN ABOUT 500 CALORIES A DAY! (ABSOLUTELY NO APPETITE). I READ THAT IF YOU CONSUME LESS THAN 800 CALORIES A DAY, IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO LOSE WEIGHT B/C YOUR BODY HANGS ON TO THE LITTLE CALORIES YOU TAKE IN. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS AND IF SO DID YOU LOSE WEIGHT AND WAS IT FAST?

You're right, if you take in too little calories your body thinks you're starving and tries to keep whatever you give it. The number of calories this will happen at is different for everyone. I lose weight, but I usually eat about 1500 calories, and haven't ever gone below about 800-1000.

You will drop the weight fast on those low calories - but as you may have read with most people the effectiveness of the phentermine/adipex wears off after a few months and this sounds like it is one big contributor to the reason why we build resistance up (we are starving and our mind does not know it) eventually the mind catches up and outsmarts us and we think that morning pill isn't as effective as it used to be - I have only had a few months on and off with this but I had lots of friends tell me the above - but if you are like me ( I am a stress eater) the phentermine made it so I didn't just grab the first thing possible I could think clearly without the cloud of starvation mode and I was able to plan my meals and actually could eat healthy because I had the patience and energy to cook or didn't crave the sweets like before. My doctor also told me to take one month on and one month off. A friend of mine takes the highest dosage and takes one day on and one day off-he said it seemed to carry him for two days without the hunger feeling (the weight drops off and like this it has stayed off). I am interested in seeing how you like the adipex-
