I took Phen-fen, it was great!!! I felt fantastic, never had any problems with my heart. Sorry they discontinued the fenfluermine(pondimin) part. I am now taking just phentermine because I have no self control for my snack attacks. It works if you want to get down to a certain weight and then i would mantain by excercising and drinking your 8 glasses of water a day. I wouldn't advise taking it for an extended period of time, your body does after a while just absorb it and it is a type of amphetamine.

I noticed that you said they discontinued a drug in Phen-fen. So does that mean that the harmful effects that I keep hearing about regarding phen-fen do not apply to Phentermine? I am confused, is Phentermine and Phen-fen really in essence the same drug or is there a difference. I thought I was taking fastin, then I realized it was really Phentermine. But, I continue to hear people say Phen-fen. I don't have a tremendous amount of weight to lose and I do not want to jeopardize my health. Can you help?

:D Hello shelly I know it is confusing but I was told that the harmful combination is called phentermine and fenflouramine sorry about the spelling might be off the fenflouramine was the pondimin that you took w/the phentermine and this would aid in digestion but the phentermine alone is o.k. to take just not with the pondimin they still call it phen-fen for short I guess but the FDA has taken the fenflouramine/pondimin off the market.

I have been hearing alot about Phentermine. I have about 50-75lbs I want to lose. Should I find a Dr that says its ok to start. I haven't yet. i wanted to read up on it first. And to those of you out there that have taken this. Soes it really work? I'm sick of trying all sorts of diets just to be let down.
