I have not posted here before but have been reading the forums with interest. I have been taking Phen for about a month and a half. In the past few days, I have noticed a sensation in the base of my throat -right where the indention is - and this morning I coughed for about an hour, and have been doing so on and off during the day. I've noticed this sensation - hard to describe other than sort of fluttery and just an overwhelming urge to cough - more when I'm walking. I am not having any pain in my chest or throat. I know that Phen taken solo is not supposed to cause heart problems, but I read the side effects list which said if you develop a cough to see a doctor immediately. What is the cough indicative of???? (If it is related to the Phen.) I must mention that I have absolutely no symptoms of a cold or any other illness.
This has got me scared to death and I feel as though I'm headed straight for a big ole panic attack. Have any of you experienced a cough, and a sort of fluttering or small amount of pressure high up in your chest, at the base of your neck?
Also, I was amazed to find out that so many people have had trouble with hair loss. I have always shed quite a bit of hair but lately it's become alarming - my husband referred once to the "wookie" in the shower drain - seems as if it's what you DON'T know that can hurt you.
Anything you might tell me to alleviate my fears would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
