Ok is anyone's dry mouth really serious??? I was out today and my dry mouth was so bad my whole mouth felt numb. It came on so suddenly and my throat felt numb and felt as if it closed up. I couldn't breathe or speak until I got some water in me. Either way my dry mouth is CONSTANT. I alway feel as if my whole mouth is numb. It really is starting to annoy me. Please tell me this will end because according to my scale I've lost 5 lbs. and it's only been 9 days. I want to still take my Phen but is all of this too severe??? Please, anyone, help...

Keep drinking water, and chew sugarless gum, it seems to help me! I have been on since 5-9 and I still have dry mouth, and I work in a medical clinic and I dry up while talking to the doctors and patients. It's aweful.

I notice when I eat something with alot of sodium it makes it worse. I ate a little piece of lasagna the other day and I drank 3 bottles of water in 30 minutes!!

When I started Phen, I had to sleep with a bottle of water beside me cuz I would wake up in the middle of the night with dry mouth! I've been on Phen for three months now and while the dry mouth isn't as intense as it was, I still carry a bottle of water with me wherever I go. I don't even bother drinking anything other than water now. The good thing is that it'll probably increase the amount of water you drink.

I almost had a freak accident last week when I was walking through the mall and got a sample of chicken that the Chinese restaurants usually hand out. I ate a sample but my throat was so dry that it wouldn't go down! It was kinda scary for a moment cuz I didn't wanna embarrass myself in the mall by choking on chicken. But after a minute, I was finally able to get the chicken down, thank God!

Now that I've been on Phen for three months, I can definitely say that the rate of the weight loss increased after the first month. After the first month, I only lost 7 lbs but after the second, I had lost 12, making a total of almost 20 lbs in two months. When I was heavier, I relied on the scale a lot to gauge how I was doing. Now I rely more on the way my clothes fit. I can buy clothes that I can't quite fit right now cuz I know that in a few short weeks, they'll fit fine. I still have a lot more weight to lose so I don't wanna buy clothes that'll be too big for me in a month or two. So don't be discouraged cuz you've only lost 5 lbs. Stick with it cuz the pounds will come off faster with time!

I've been on Phen-Fen since March. The dry mouth never really seems to go away. I don't drink anything but water and green tea. Everything else just makes me more thirsty.

Dr. Oz from the Oprah Winfrey Show says that if you drink green tea at least once every day for 3 months you will lose 5% of your total body fat. At first I hated the taste but now I like it a lot. It's an acquired taste kinda like beer or wine.

I want to ask mullatoamomma if she knows what causes the excessive sweating? There for awhile I thought I was having an anxiety attack because every time I left my house I turned into a human sweatball! My mother kept saying I was going into early menopause. Clearly, that didn't make me feel any better! I even asked my doctor about it and she had no idea. And then all of a sudden they just stopped. It's a mystery!

LaneGyant-Let's here it for Dr.Oz. Don't u love him!!!!!!!! My dry mouth never leaves either, especially right after my phen kicks in! I keep 1/2 water bottles in the freezer & fill the other 1/2 with water B/4 i leave the house(like a mom would 4 a baby). When i'm somewhere that i can't drink, i nearly choke 2 death! . i chew sugarless gum, but my gums get sore. it is well worth it though since i have lost 20lbs. in 8 wks. :D WHOOOOOOOO_HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

20 lbs in 8 weeks! Great job, MOM of 3!!! Well I am glad to say my dry mouth has gone away... I am only on 15 mg Phen however so maybe if my doc kicks it up it'll come back...errrr... I hope not, but for now no more dry mouth!! That is a relief.
