Night heart scares!!!

hello all. i am new to this forum, but i find it so reassuring to realize "I am not alone"! one scary thing that happens to me is that at night sometimes i am all ready to lay down to sleep... then all of a sudden without notice BAM!! my heart starts pounding realy hard and i immediately sit upright... then i breath and it goes away. this cylce can go on a couple times a night or sometimes not at all. as for the entire day, i feel great! and yes.... not hungry! The medicine begins to wear off around 5 or 6pm, and i feel completely normal. its only when i go to sleep and ly down does this start to happen. I called my doctor and a nurse told me it could just be mini anxiety attack? is that the case or is it something worse?!?!?! my blood pressure is GREAT....has anyone experienced this?
please help because i am very scared and i am super worried that i may be leading towards the big one... a heart attack!

Last night I thought I felt my heart jumping. I stood up and I felt fine. It scared me too. I take blood pressure pills and I check my BP daily. So far, I'm doing great with the BP. Just having alot if allgeries. I started taking my pills 3 weeks ago. I have lost 12 pounds. THey make me feel real funny all day and I have to make myself eat. But this week I have noticed my heart jumps. I thought maybe I was imagine it. Let me know how you are doing. I go to see my dr. next week. He is wanting to check my blood and BP every 4 weeks. But, after next week I'm not taking the pills anymore. I think 4 weeks is long enough to have a starvation.

Thank you mommy of 3 for your reply. I have been on these pills for 7 days now and that is the only thing that is effecting me, the night heart scares. Today is the first day that i tries splitting the pill. i take 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at noon. maybe this will help. I am also going to try and NOT think and anticipate it happening.... who knows, i will just have to see. Please keep me posted too on your condition. it sure does help to talk about it. i will keep you posted too! **way to go you on losing 12 pounds**

Thank you!! I take only a half. But atleast one day I will take a whole and the next day I don't take nothing then I start all over with the half. Now this week, I am having trouble sleeping. I have only taken them for 3 weeks now. I'm seriously thinking about going off of them with the next couple of weeks. I'm like you, I don't want the big one to hit me.

I just started taking Phentermine 30 mg, one a day, my heart kept feeling like it was jumping too, I was scared all day long. It is only my second day on it and I lost 4.5 pounds already, I feel tired and sluggish and my head hurts.

If someone asks their doctor about this please post back and tell us what he said. I can't half the pills because they are in a capsule.

About 2 weeks ago I had to go off my pills. I got sick and had lots of test done. I go next week to have surgery. Before I took the pills, I had a COMPLETE check-up and everything was GREAT. Not sure if it was the pills. I will know when they do a biospy. It's funny how things can grow fast. Cause 6 to 7 weeks ago, I had nothing wrong. All I can tell people, if you have taken the pills for atleast 2 weeks, go and get another check-up. I don't regret taking them. I did lose a little but but now, I'm having to face a surgery and hoping it's not from the pill's. I have done research over and over. Just becareful.

dear mommy of 3, this i bgood2u. we spoke about two weeks ago. i just read your post that you had surgery!?!?? are you okay?
i have been on phen now for a month and a half and i feel fine now. no more heart scares or anything like that. i come off of them in 2 weeks. i had expressed my concerns to my doc about my wierd heart side effects, but he asked me some questions and took my BP and he advised that i was fine. and honestly i do feel great!
i am worried, however about you. please let me know how things turned out and if anything was attributed to phen.
