Rest assured that all of us experience some side effect or another....completely normal. You are absolutely doing the right thing by communicating regularly with your doctor about your concerns. I didn't do that but instead read the postings on this board frequently in the early days and found that I was not alone in my experiences and trusted that everything would settle down in to a good routine with a little time.....and it has.
FYI - my doctor prescribed the 30mg generic time release capsules so there is no cutting in half possible. The directions say to take the pill on an empty stomach and wait an hour to eat. Well, I can't wait an hour to eat or I get too "speedy" so I only wait about 30 minutes and then I eat. This has worked well for me and I don't have the racing heart side effect any more unless I wait too long to eat. Each of us in our own way figures out what works for us. Some good people on this site eat and then wait an hour or so before taking their pill. They find that the appetite suppression lasts later in to their day that way. ( Good if you are a night time snacker...)
Best wishes to you and keep in touch with your doc and with us.....
