I've had my mirena for about 2 years. That thing was a miracle for me! I beld for oh about 7 mos straight before I got it! After D&C's, the shot (made it worse) and many rounds of BCP's I opted for it and have LOVED it ever since. I have had ZERO issues. Low hormones and no weight gain. It hasn't moved since being put in. I had mine put in about a year after having Livvy and it hurt like an SOB. Like the hardest contraction during childbirth. He told me to take a deep breath and let it out, when I let it out, he put it in. I yelped then it was over. I cramped on and off the rest of the day but was 100% fine by the next morning.
