There are many different reasons we crave junk food. One reason I do is because of my depression. Eating yummy foods like that gives us a quick seratonin release and then we want it more and more. Also, eating those things often makes you really hungry again, pretty fast. Food in this day and age is also just like drugs in alcohol in the way that people turn to it to 'get away' from their problems. It's really a combination of things and I am struggling with that too. What has helped me the most is educating myself on what *really* happens to our bodies. Find books and read up on it. Knowing you could have a heart attack or whatever just doesn't cut it. The details are important. As I've been skipping the junk food I definitely am craving it less. My body is slowly learning how good it feels when I put in the fuel that it can actually use.
