Talking New 2 Phen, on day 7!!!
I started Phen last Wed. when prescribed to me at a weight loss clinic. I take 20mg twice daily along with 10mg 5htp twice daily and one multivitamin. I weighed in at 225.7 last Wed; I jumped on the scale on Sunday and I weighed 217.0. I was very excited!

My first day on Phen I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I had tremors in my hand and my face, an increased heart rate, and a TON of energy. I didn't even sleep that night. But the second day was great; when ever I feel super energetic I go for a very brisk walk for about a mile. It helps keep things under control. My appetite is much better and I am able to count calories without feeling like I'm starving! It's gotten easier to stay beneath 1200 cal/day. I thirst like crazy though, mainly for water, but sometimes I add Crystal light to it just for a change. I'm putting away about 6 glasses a day.

After the first night of not sleeping...I felt like this was for the birds! But now that I walk daily, I burn the energy off and that helps to regulate my sleep. On days that i can't walk (like rainy days), I have a Playstation 2 with the DDR/DDR Max games/dancepad, and I dance the energy away. The I shower and go to bed and I sleep very well.

My clinic gave me several booklets with suggestions on what/how to eat. I can eat what I want, but I have to watch my calorie/content intake. Since I am on the go ALOT with my job and church I tend to eat fast foods. So they gave me a list of what's best from many major fast food chains in our area. That has made it SOOOO much easier!

I am very happy to have made this choice in my life.

P.S. Another side effect....increased libido....which also helps to burn a little evening energy...wink, wink! LOL
