No need to ditch the bun, you already got it without mayo and if you didn't get cheese either you're just fine. You can actually have that and a small fry for not a ton of calories. Sodium, on the other hand....
I've done it before. I looked at their nutritional info and chose as wisely as possible. You should check out the calories in their salads! The Whopper Jr. was a better choice.
