I live in the Brookfield area but I see a Dr. Birhanu in Oak Lawn. He is an MD but works closely with a well known bariatric center out of Little Company of Mary Hospital. My visits are billed to my insurance just as if I went to see him for an ear infection and all I pay is my copay. Each month I also see a dietician which is not covered by my insurance and that is $50.00. My friend went to see him and he prescribed it for her and she is not going for Bariatric surgery. It is kind of a haul but well worth it to me!
