Sharebear is right --YOU ARE ANEMIC! You can increase the iron you get in your daily diet by eating more dark meat if you eat chicken, beans, and leafy green veggies.
I started craving ice daily, after losing twins in 2002, and consequently hemorrhaging for some time afterwards. I could not go a day without a huge Big Gulp sized cup of ice. My students began asking what was "really" in my cup. I had no idea that I was severely anemic until one day, my blood pressure plummeted and I passed out.
