I was put on Byetta at 17 for being insulin resistant and did drop about 20lbs without changing what foods I ate. Byetta pretty much changes the amount you can eat. I'd only eat one plate of Chinese food instead of three and felt stuffed. I am sure I would have lost a lot more had I changed what I ate.

I got re-prescribed it this past Friday only to find out from the phamacy that my insurance (which is a rather large, good insurance company) doesn't want to prescribe it to me until I try metformin despite having already tried Jaunuvia. So, now even though I have used Byetta before for a good year or so, now I have to fight it with the insurance company.

It makes me so mad. Funny thing is they paid for Phentermine but not the Byetta.

Personally, I loved Byetta. The results outweigh the self injections by far.
Thanks for the info. After you dropped the weight were you able to come off of it or did you just get transfered to something else. Oh yea, when can i expect the sick feeling to go away?

I hate that you are having so much trouble with your insurance co. I never have been able to figure out what they are thinking when they do that kind of thing. Yet my insurance will not pay for any type of diet pill. But on the other hand it pays well for the Byetta; which is way more that the Adipex.

Good luck in the battle with the insurance co. Let me know how it turns out.
