Here are a few links to fairly recent threads that talk about CLA & 5-HTP. The first one will probably explain the most. Right now I'm taking the 5-HTP every night with dinner, but I no longer take the CLA. I'm a serious low carb person... I test my urine everyday for ketone levels and I discovered that the CLA was really knocking me out of ketosis. I think there's rice powder or something silly in it, which was apparently enough to do it! So I stopped taking that, but I love the 5-HTP because I think it does what it says and also because it doesn't hinder ketosis!

What is CLA?
