Congratulations for getting clean off the meth. I know that it is quite a chore. I was on it for 22 yrs. The reason that I stopped was because I was getting married and I wanted to have a clear head to make sure that marriage for life is what I really wanted. It's been 8 yrs. now on Feb. 28th. BoooYah!!!!
The whole reason that I started doing meth was because of my weight. Ya gotta admit, it sure does slim you down. Unfortunately it steals your soul and makes you the walking dead.
The first yr. that I quit I gained over 100 lbs. ouch! Now I am over 300 lbs. and still very happily married to the same awesome man. He's was a user for about 14 yrs.. The weight that he has gained looks real good on him. He's at 260 and is happy to be married to me still.
I was afraid to ask my Dr. about Phen. She has been my Dr. for over 13 yrs. and knows just about everything. She has me calling in my weight once a week and I go into see her every other month because take alot of pain meds for my spine.
I wonder how many other recovered meth users are out there and taking thier phen for thier weight loss.
I know that my muscles get really tight and hurt like heck. It has encouraged me to do some low impact excersising but I have to not overdo it or I will really ache.
And.......you really have to remember to keep up the liquids! Lack of this adds to the muscle aches and feeling run down at some point in the day. I don't usually drink water so I have been drinking some kind of gator aid stuff but it's not. Gator aid tastes like it's got pepper in it to me. ack.
Keep up the good work and be consistant with your weight loss! You really are doing great!
