Default I need help from experienced puppy phrends!
I have gotten 6 hours' sleep total in the last 2 nights.

Eddie is an all-powerful evil 3-pound ball of urinating fluff.

Actually, he's doing amazing on housetraining for a little guy whose bladder isn't fully developed yet. All poops have been outside (yeah!) and about 1/2 of the pees.

The problem is he cries and barks incessantly in the crate. I do not reward this behavior, I let him cry it out. But last night it was from 10:30 until almost 2. I woke up Dan (******* can sleep though everything) and started bawling my eyes out. At that point I had been up for 22 hours straight. I let him out for a pee and then put him right back in. He continued wailing for another 30 minutes, then finally we both slept until 6 (me upstairs of course).

I need help. I just don't think it's right to let a puppy, weaned from the mama too early, be that scared and crying for hours at a time. I need to nuture him yet let him know who's boss and what the rules are. He's a smart pup, he is starting to respond to his name and click-treat. But how can I get him to be calm in the crate, so we can sleep or heaven forbid, leave the house? I have an appt downtown today. He will be alone for 3-4 hours.

Sorry, no personals. I haven't worked out in 2 days, other than squats wiping up pee.
