Default Happy November!
Good morning. I feel better today and am ready for some fresh challenges! For this month, my goals are:

1. To return to the Y for weight training twice a week, and pilates on Sunday morning. Wog 5 miles 3 days a week (down from 6). One day to rest.

2. 173 pounds or better. My original goal for 2007 was to get to 160 by year end, but I'm thinking 168 might be where I end up.

3. Water over wine. Insert funny Jesus reference here. But seriously, I gotta reduce those empty calories. That is my biggest challenge...I have no sweet tooth and I eat really well most of the time...so this is an area to work on.

Ok then. I need to get my butt in gear to go to the Y.

But first, welcome back Miami! Here we are, still neck and neck at 62 pounds gone. I'm glad you are on the mend. I know it's been tough. And yes, that was me when I tried to go blond this summer. It was too tough to maintain, I'm back to being a brunette (under the red wig, haha). Thanks for saying I was thin. I still don't believe it. I have major phantom fat/body distortion issues.

Kitty, good luck trying to unteach your picky eaters (my theory - your husband was taught/allowed to be a picky eater and passed that onto the kids). It's tough to change that. My parents did the "this is what is being served, if you don't want or like it, go to bed." They never catered to me with a pb & j sandwich or whatever. They were depression era people, not cruel - and they just didn't believe in giving children a separate meal or other options. I never had fast food, hell, never even had ketchup until I was a teen (and today I don't keep it in the house). So that's how I became the vegetable loving foodie (and snob ) I am today. Jessica Seinfeld's ideas are a good plan B, something that might work for this generation.

Gonnasail, you are on your way to be Iron Woman, wow! Look out!

NewMicMic, I am so happy you are here and so Into This. You'll be in the 2's by the holidays! Woo hoo!

Loseitnow, I'm still so proud of your 75 in a year. But if you don't mind my saying so, I think you are setting yourself up for disappointment trying to see Onederland this month. I don't want to see you angry at yourself when you are a success. And it's not because I don't think you can do it, it's because I don't think it's physically a good idea to drop 21 pounds in a month at this stage of the game. To do so, you'll have to drop muscle and dehydrate yourself and all kinds of nonsense. I think a more realistic, healthy goal is 8-10 pounds. Please don't be mad, I have your physical and mental well being in my thoughts. Kiss.
